"What a wonderful trip, first timers to the Adirondack's and it was AMAZINGLY AWESOME. Saranac Lake is a laid back fun little village. You have the faster past in Lake Placid which was a short scenic drive. We rode our bikes along the Rail Trail, shopped in both towns, very good restaurants - had barbeque and the BEST Brussel Sprouts at Smoke Signals in Lake Placid."

"A unique place. rebuilt older mansion very nicely done. loved the experience and the caretaker was quite a nice guy. I was travelling on my own and it was so nice to stay in a place that is not just a cookie cutter chain hotel."

"Kathy's Cabin on the lake was the perfect getaway for our family. The cabin is cozy, rustic, and familial. We played games, grilled, watched the action on the lake from the boat house. What a location! The view from the property and from the boat house porch is beautiful - lake, mountains, islands. We brought our boat and were able to dock it at the cabin which made each days' excursions so easy! Kathy is very accommodating and welcoming. She made check in very easy, she is communicative and a joy! It was nice to have a local to clue us in on customs of the lake and surroundings.We will be back for sure. "

The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is stocked, the screen room is perfect for coffee in the morning, the fishing (off the shore) is fantastic, the boats are plenty and the memories we make here are priceless! We are return campers year after year! Mary responds quickly to any messages. If you are looking for a rustic get-a-way in a very private setting this place is perfect! We are already planning for next summer. "
